5 TIPS TO NATURALLY BEAT CELLULITE

Spread the love

Cellulite surely ALL  of us women are plagued with it, ok I know its only seen on the celebrities when the magazine in question is doing the whole “seen with” or “shaming” and with the technique of air brushing available it is no wonder we are laid to believe it doesn’t appear to belong to those rich and famous.

Well hands up, my thighs have now equated a double barrel name as in cottage cheese thighs, orange peel or even hail damage! There is a reason why people cringe at the word cellulite and its other not so complimentary descriptions and its simply because the vast majority of adult women have it and ALL of them don’t want it.

When I say the vast majority I don’t say that lightly, 80% of women report having at least a little cellulite! With so many products on the market promising to drastically reduce the appearance of cellulite  or to remove it altogether, it is so tempting to pick up a bottle and just hope that it takes away that uneven and dimpled surface of the skin. But, really?? wait….! Before letting your hard earned cash leave your purse for some overnight solution that sounds too good to be true do a little homework first. Certainly some products do help yet in conjunction  with lifestyles changes and diet. The good news is that you can reduce cellulite, here  I will share with you what cellulite actually is, why you may have it and give you some tips to reduce the appearance of it on your body.

WHAT IS CELLULITE?

Cellulite is the term given to those delightful fat deposits that sit just below the skin, because cellulite is more concentrated in areas that have a higher fat content, most women have some degree of cellulite on their thighs, hips and rear. but it can also be found on the breasts, lower tummy and upper arms. There are a lot of reasons why cellulite is said to appear on your body including hormonal reasons, poor diet and lifestyle choices along with age and genetic predisposition. While all of those factors can play a role in the formation of cellulite, there is one common denominator  –  the collection of toxins in your body. Think about your eating habits; packaged foods, refined sugars and salts, processed starches, cooked animal proteins, chemical pesticides and preservatives. Then look into the environmental chemicals and pollutants inside and outside your home that you have been exposed to for years, maybe you also smoked, drank and had to take medication for weeks, months or years at a time………. that equals to an awful lot of toxins. Our bodies are extremely clever pieces of machinery and to protect our organs from too much exposion to the toxins, our body stores these toxins in our fat.

So if you feel embarrassed of your cellulite now, but not taking measures to contrail the vast amount of toxins our body consumes , how will you feel in 5 years time when it has only gotten worse?

The key to reducing cellulite is to remove the build up of toxins from our body and to help prevent further build up of toxins. I will tell you something, this is not just the way to reduce cellulite but also the way to live a long, healthy life and to look and feel as beautiful as you can.

Here I have listed 5 tips to naturally help beat the cellulite

1   –   HEALTTHY DIET

We all know the key benefits of consuming a healthy diet, but did you know a diet full of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, healthy fats and whole grains can give your body the essential vitamins and minerals it needs to properly burn fat and keep your skin and tissues healthy. In fact, healthy proteins from nuts beans and fish and antioxidant rich green tea, berries and garlic can help build up collagen- a connective tissue that helps plump up the skin and makes the cellulite less extreme. A diet that is full of vitamin C and Vitamin E can also improve skins texture.

*Get into fresh veg juicing*

2   –   STAY HYDRATED

Water is essential to life and it is also essential to reduce and prevent further cellulite. drinking enough water is an easy way to improve the texture of your skin as it keeps the toxins flushing through you, just think about the look of dehydration; shriveled, lumpy and aged……. certainly not the look of a cellulite free body.

No excuses, if you don’t like your water straight up, add some lemon slices to it!

3   –   SWAP YOUR SALT

SERIOUSLY, it can not get any easier than this:  swap your refined salt (table salt) for Sea Salt or Crystal salt. Refine salt is extremely acidic which is highly dehydrating. Whereas Crystal and Sea salt are alkaline, packed full of beneficial minerals which give the body rather than take from it. Another bonus you will find they have a fuller flavor, you ask me….. its  a no brainer.

4   –   CARDIO

When you do sweaty exercise you are not only helping relieve stress from your body and giving yourself an endorphin rush, you are also expelling toxins through your skin, with the benefit of improving the overall appearance of your body by tightening and  toning and expelling of toxins….. hey the overall appearance is certainly going to be flattering.

5   –   SKIN BRUSHING

Skin brushing can specifically target areas of cellulite, using a skin brush in small circular movements over your thighs, bottom and other areas you are concerned with for a few minutes, a few times a week will certainly help to break down the fatty deposits that cause the dreaded dimpled appearance. If you haven’t indulged with skin brushing before it is probably best to start with a minute of skin brushing and then work your way up to a few minutes at a time, just to let your skin adjust and prevent sensitivity.

Now it is time to put these tips to work. Be gentle to yourself, pick one to start and get that happening in your daily life, then pick another and tackle that one.

KEEP IT UP AND YOU WILL SEE RESULT
