STEP OUT OF THE BOX…..

 

Step out of the box (home) or away from the box(Tv, technology)….the lighter nights and warmer weather will make this easier

Research has shown that spending time in a natural environment is beneficial to our mental health. Natural stimuli increases the recovery time for stress, find beauty in nature everyday to keep stress at bay.  When we are in natural environments we tend to feel connected and have purpose. We tend to be more positive and creative with our thoughts.

Outside we will tend to talk more, we are getting exercise and the fresh air will clear our minds and help us to focus.

 “Nature is fuel for the soul ” says Richard Ryan, lead author and a professor of psychology at the University of Rochester. “Often when we feel depleted we reach for a cup of coffee, but research suggests a better way to get energized is to connect with nature.”

  • ·         Step away from technology, reduce your dependence on technology …have an appointment for nature.
  • ·         Exercise and get outside with gardening.
  • ·         Get a pet.
  • ·         Go for a walk.
  • ·         Try cycling.
