Sun damage isn’t limited to holidays in the sun. It can happen when you’re not expecting it, for example, going for a walk or sitting in your garden.

Intense Pulse Light (IPL) treatment is a method of treating sun-damaged skin. Over exposure to UV light can cause mottled/uneven pigmentation, open pores and sunspots. Treatments using the Ellipse IPL system will achieve improvements in the appearance of the skin by improving the skin colour, tone and pore size using intense pulse light to target excess pigmentation and diffuse redness. You will find that your skin will look smoother and fresher.

Pre-Treatment Care

It is important that before receiving the Ellipse IPL treatment that you follow recommended guidelines on the area 30 days before treatment:

Do not use sunbeds or sunbathe

Do not use self tanning creams

Post Treatment Care

After the Ellipse treatment it is common for the area to feel slightly warm. It is also common to experience some redness and mild tenderness. These symptoms may appear immediately or a few days after treatment. For 30 days after treatment you should avoid exposure to UV light i.e sunbeds and sunbathing and a high SPF30 should be applied when outside.

*A patch test is recommended prior to treatment*
