Face mapping skin analysis (with the use of scanner)

Face Mapping is a revolutionary approach to skin analysis developed by The International Dermal Institute exclusively for Dermalogica. Using the zones and the Dermalogica Face Map as a guide, the therapist is able to conduct an inch-by-inch; methodical analysis of the skin to make sure the treatment suits each your skin’s individual needs, depending on your concerns. We will also chat to you about your current skincare regime and give you all important tips to try out at home along with some useful samples!

Face Mapping skin analysis divides the face into 14 distinct zones, each with its own set of potential problems and unique needs. The 14 zones are as follows: zones 1+3 (forehead), zone 2 (in-between the eyebrows),  zones 4 + 10 (ears), zones 5+9 (cheeks), zones 6 + 8 (eyes), zone 7 (nose),  zones 11 + 13 (jaw line), zone 12 (chin), zone 14 (neck and chest). By examining each separate area the therapist will be able to prescribe essential home care and treatment of different conditions that usual include: pigmentation, acne, oiliness/dryness, milia etc. Your skin changes all the time and no single area of your skin is usually the same as the rest of your face, therefore a good skin analysis is a vital step to a good, healthy skin.

During our in depth skin mapping analysis we also use long wave ultra-violet  skin scanner that lets us see different problem areas as different colours. Your Dermalogica skin care specialist will explain each zone to you and what each single color means for you to get to know your skin better and outline specific skin conditions.  Some of the conditions include: sun damage, pigmentation, blackheads/congestion, dehydration, oily skin, dry skin. It will reveal the full or ‘true’ condition and thus allowing for an accurate skin analysis and prescriptive treatment to be given in order to achieve a perfect complexion. You will learn how to treat your skin the professional way in order to keep your skin healthy and protected.

We also have the access to a Dermalogica skin bar where the therapist can show you different products, how they work and how to use them to achieve best results!

Skin analysis usually takes approximately 20 minutes and costs £12 per session, which is redeemable against any Dermalogica product or treatment!
