We all love to look our best each day and having beautiful skin and make up can give you a little confidence boost each morning, however, juggling all of life’s activities can often mean that your makeup routine flies out the window.
With a few tips and tricks you don’t have to be a professional to have fabulous looking make up!!
Skin is the most important thing, if your skin is not in great shape than covering it with make up will not really solve any problems, by keeping your skin moisturized, you will minimize quite a few common skin problems like fine lines and dry patches.
STEP 1 – PRIME
It is so quick to do and will give you a long lasting finish to your foundation, yes ladies priming needs to be part of your daily routine. There is an extended range from primers, BB creams and CC creams on the market now, here I have listed my 2 favorites by far :-
Smooth Affair Facial Primer & Brightener ( Jane Iredale)

All you require is a small pea size amount of product, dab onto the forehead, nose, chin and cheeks withy fingertips.

Love this primer as the velvety silicones combined with Soy Protein helps even out skin texture creating a smoother surface, you also have within this primer Peral powder and Earth minerals which provide a natural tint for visible luminosity and radiance. Not only does this primer offer you a smoother canvas for make up application it also has a SPF30 to shield your skin from UV light.
STEP 2 – FOUNDATION
Getting your base right is so vital to your overall finish look.

STEP 3 – LASHES
Looking for that instant eyelift and high impact, coat your lashes with mascara, not a good look is coating your lashes with clumpy mascara! Lets face it, this happens to every tube of mascara over time. The problem is it dries out and then starts to form unattractive lumps. To prevent this, don’t pump your mascara trying to get more on your wand as you are basically pumping air into the tube causing it to dry out even faster.
I know that mascara should be replaced every 3-4 months, yet I always need to replace mine much sooner just because it dries out so fast!!! But a tip to fix that………………
Add a drop or 2 of saline eye drops into the tube and then rub the wand around inside, the solution softens the mascara liquid making it apply as if it were a brand new tube .
STEP 4 – MAKE EYES APPEAR BIGGER
Ladies if you don’t already own a white pencil, invest in one now for this simple trick! Instead of lining your water line with dark eyeliner, use a white pencil to create the illusion of a bigger eye.
